Spine Client Type: NNU-DEVICE

This Spine Client Type is for medical devices within a neonatal unit setting that wish to send patient data samples from each device to the national BadgerNet Care record for saving.

This Spine Client Type can only write to the BadgerNet Spine, and cannot read any data.

It is assumed that Spine Clients only have a National ID of a neonatal patient to reference each patient, although it is recommended that the Date of Birth also be included when identifying patients, if available.

Each individual Spine Client instance must be linked to one single BadgerNet Neonatal Care Location.

BadgerNet Spine limitations for NNU-DEVICE Client Systems

• Clients of this type are permitted to only write single neonatal record details. No other BadgerNet Spine care episode types are available.

• The patient data FHIR resources available for writing will be limited to a fixed set of neonatal observational data resources and feeding administration resources. This will extend over time and may be constrained by the use of specific Spine Record Filters at a later date.
